Satellite List #8: June 13th and 14th 2011

Satellite #26: $175 buy in 1 $1600 winner (Venetian). $40 LL. This tournament was fairly uneventful for me. Early on, I opened 2 pots but had to fold, once when I just check folded and once when I c-bet, got called, and folded the turn. I folded until we were 6 or 7 handed and the blinds went to 100-200. I found J9o in the cutoff and jammed my last 1150 but the button rejammed with AJ. I actually turned a 9 but he rivered the A busting me. Luckily for me, Levi was able to ship the massive $1600 plus the $40 LL without a chop getting us both $920 and a nice $705 profit.

Satellite #27: $130 buy in 2 $570 winners (Venetian). $20 LL. I raised to 250 with AJo at 50-100 and got 4 callers. The flop came TT3 and I bet 325 getting a call from the BB. The turn came a J and we both checked. The river came a 7, he bet out 800 effectively putting me all in, I called and he showed AQ for a nice pot. I was up to 3200 or so after this. I stayed around this amount as the blinds went up and people went out. We were 4 handed and we went to 200-400. First hand of this level, I had 2200 total and was in the SB. I jammed into the tight BB with 43o and he called with QJ and I failed to make a pair, busting in 4th.

Satellite #28: $125 buy in 1 $1120 winner (Rio). $20 LL. I lost some chips early when I raised KQ suited, c-bet the flop, and had to fold on the turn. As the blinds went up, I started to steal some to work my 800 or so into 1400 by the time we went ot 100-200. We were 5 handed and the button jammed 900. I found A6o in the SB and decided to go with it, reshoving all in. He showed K3o but flopped a K to cripple me to 475 chips. A couple of hands later, I pushed my 2.5 bbs with T7hh but Levi woke up with AA in the BB and snap called and I wasnt able to suck out busting out in 5th.

Satellite #29: $125 buy in 1 $1120 winner (Rio). No LL. This satellite was about as uneventful as you can get. I flatted 75 at 25-25 with 22 to try to flop a set but folded when I missed. We were went to 50-100 and I had about 800. It folded to me in the cutoff and I jammed KQo but the button reshipped with AK and when I wasnt able to suckout, I busted in 8th.

With these satellites, I am now up to $1865 in sattys at the venetian but am down to only being up $100 at the Rio.
