Another day and 3 more satellites to hear about.
Satellite #10: $130 buy in 2 $570 winners (Venetian): $20 last longer as well. This was probably one of the better satellite tables I have played at which is a disappointment when youre involved in it. I was able to stay around my 2000 starting stack by using my tight image in the 75-150 level to steal several blinds and antes. We went to 100-200 still 7 handed and I had to fold once when I minraised 65cc and the squeaky tight SB shoved. This left me with 1500 or so and I jammed my last 1300 from the SB into the BB with Q9 but he woke up with TT and faded my Q and I busted out. Levi was not able to win this one either so for the first time, we bricked out on a satellite. This brought me down to $865.
Satellite $11: $80 buy in 2 $340 winners (Venetian): $20 last longer. This satellite started out a little better for me. 2nd hand I made it 150 from UTG +1 with AKdd, got 2 calls behind, and the SB jammed all in for 2000. I obviously called and he showed AQ and I was able to fade the 75% and win. I stayed around this stack size until we were 6 handed at 100-200. A guy made it 400 UTG, I found KK on the button and made it 800, and the guy shoved for 2000 or so. I called, he showed AJ and I was able to win. I went up to 6000 or so. We got down to 3 handed at 200-400 and played pass the chips around until midway through the 300-600 level when the kid in the SB moved all in for about 4k and I had ~7k in the BB and called with AJo. He showed 33 and the board came out K949K for the ever sick counterfit and I was able to win the satty. With the last longer and the lammers, my net winnings were $110 and I was up to $975.
Satellite #12: $130 buy in 2 $570 winners (Venetian): $20 last longer. I folded for the first couple levels and was sitting around 1600 or so at 75-150. A guy made it 425 in EP, a LP player shoved his ~3k, and I found QQ in the SB and went all in as well. The original raiser folded (66) and he pusher showed AK. Fortune was on my side as the board ran out 742T7 and I was up to 4k. At 100-200, I made it 500 UTG with 99 and a loose donkey type player called UTG +2. he only started the hand with 1500 or so so when the flop came Q86, I put him all in for his last 1000. He snap called showing AA and I got back down to 2000 after missing the turn and river. I then was able to get extremely lucky in a hand. The blinds went up to 200-400 and I was down to my last 1600. We were 7 handed and I was UTG +1 and decided to go with my K7ss. The guy 2 behind me reshoved and the BB called pretty quickly as well. The MP guy had AdKc, the BB had JcJs, and I was in bad shape with K7ss. However, the board ran out AcTc7c5x7d allowing me to fade a turn flush that would have me drawing dead but riving me my 2 outer trips. This hand vaulted me to 5k. Next hand the button pushed for 1900, I called in the BB with KJo. He showed A4o but a J on the flop and a K on the turn won me the pot and I was up to 7k in chips. We were 4 handed now and the blinds went up to 300-600. The table dynamics were pretty interesting as I had 8k, the kid on my left had only about 1600, the guy to my left had about 6500, and the guy across from me had 4k. It was my BB and the guy to my left (UTG) made it 1600 (putting the kid to my right effectively all in). The guy across folded, the kid on my left folded, and I found AA in the BB. I decided to just flat call and the flop came 742 2 clubs. I checked, he moved all in, and i called quickly. He showed KQcc for a sick flush draw that I would have to fade. Luckily no club came and I took most of the chips in play. Maybe I should just push here to avoid playing a pot this big no matter what the circumstance. Anyways, this hand brought me to 14.5 and a massive chip lead. Then something funny happened. Next and, the kid with 1300 folds his button, I find AA again in the SB and put the BB all in for his last 4k. He instantly calls, showing QQ! Haha. I faded the Q and ended up winning the tournament and the kid in who had 1300 folded his way to a win as well. It was a bad call with QQ here as he has to let the BB get all in in some way before he commits his stack. Funny spot though and amazing, that after I had played nonstop poker for the last 4 days I got AA back to back after getting it once since mandalay bay (and that was today in the tournament and I lost a big pot with them!). I was able to win again and my net from this one was $170 putting me up $1145 in sattys.
