Satellite List #4: June 1st 2011

Satellite #13: $80 buy in 2 $340 winners (Venetian): $20 last longer. I really played this one tight. Other than occasionally stealing the blinds, I didnt really make that much of a move until 200-400. We were still 6 handed and I had about 1600 chips. I moved all in with QT from the cutoff and the BB called. He showed KQ but the board ran out QT2A9 giving me 2 pair and doubling me up. I was up to 3600 or so but folded for a while. We were 5 handed at 300-600 and I had 2000 total in chips in the SB. It folded to me, I jammed ATo into the BB, he called with KQcc and flopped 3 kings sending me out.

Satellite #14: $130 buy in 2 $570 winners (Venetian): NO last longer. This was one of the worst tables I have played at in terms of sattys. They were playing alot of limping so during the 50-100 and 75-150 levels, I tried isoing a limper with a weak hand by making a small raise. However this failed when 3-4 people called my raise behind both times and I had to fold when I missed the flop. I was down to 1125 or so after these attempted moves. At 75-150, another weak limper limped in EP and it folded to me in the hijack and I moved all in with Q5hh as a play over the limper. Unfortunately, the button reshoved and showed AJo. The board came out AJ6J and I was drawing dead by the river, busting out early.

Satellite #15: $240 buy in 2 $1110 winners (Venetian): NO last longer. I decided to step up in stakes a little bit seeing an easy field in this higher priced tournament. Early on, I made it 125 with KQo and the button made it 350. I called but folded on the T86 flop. I called raises with small pairs 2 times and multiple callers but folded when I missed my set. My stack had dwindled to 1400 or so at 50-100. A guy limped UTG and I found 44 in the cutoff and jammed it. The limper called with AJo and I lost when the board contained an A. Luckily, Levi was able chop this tournament for a good portion of the prize pool saving some money. In fact, Levi was also able to chop another $240 tourney earlier on in the day (for a little less money than he got in this one. . but money nonetheless) so I ended up a decent winner for sattys on the day (I have calculated +$1370 but I have $1400 in chips plus cash in my satty winnings pile with me so I am not sure on the number anymore. . .its getting confusing with all this playing/side bets/chopping).
