Cash Game: Hard Rock Hotel April 6th 10:30 PM-12:30 AM

We planned on getting a few more hours in at the Hard Rock before calling it a night. Early on, I started out down when I raised with AQcc and got 2 callers and check/folded a flop of KJ3 and I bet out from the BB when I flopped top pair but folded to a raise.

I raised to $12 in LP with ATdd with limpers and got called by the button, one of the blinds, and one of the limpers. The flop came 9x7d3x and it checked around. The turn came 3d, putting my nut flush draw on board, and it checked to me and I bet out $22 and the limper called and the other 2 folded. The river came an A and the limper lead out for $35. This bet really confused me. I thought for a really long time and ended up calling and he mucked and my A was good. I was up to $260 or so after this hand.

I really didn’t play many other big pots the rest of the session. The table was really tight and there was no action. They weren’t good players but they were extremely nitty and no one was pushing chips at all so I will just give some speed hands. I raised to $8 with 44 in EP and got 4 callers and folded the flop when I didn’t make my set. I called a guys all in for $16 with 66 and he showed 99 and I lost. A lady pushed all in for $34 and I reraised to $75 from the button with KK and she mucked after the board ran out. I called a raise to $7 with 44 and multiple callers and folded the flop after I didn’t make my set. I raised with KTss to $12 in LP and limpers and got called in 3 spots and check folded on the flop when I didn’t hit. I raised to $12 in LP with AJo and the button and a limper called and we checked down a board of 87564 and the limper bet out $25 and I folded and he showed 69 for a flopped straight. I didn’t play any hands other than these.

Looking back I really didn’t win many hands, but I was able to make the sick call with AT there on that board (it was a really hard call with how tight the table was) and that ultimately was what propelled me to a winning session. I cashed out for $226, up $26 on the session and up $4 on the day at hard rock (almost enough for a footlong!). Tonight, I registered for tomorrows deepstack again so I will be playing in that tomorrow. I am excited to try out some of the techniques I have been working with Sean with. I am going to be playing hard so hopefully it goes well.
