Cash Game: Hard Rock Hotel April 6th 5:30 PM-7:15 PM

Before the freeroll, we went to the Hard Rock to play some cash games to get some hours in. I cannot stress this enough but I just love everything about the Hard Rock poker room. Right now, its my favorite place to play cash games in Vegas. The games are easy, the setting is cool, and the chips are awesome.

The 2nd hand I was there for I made it $10 with a limper with AJo. One of the blinds called and I c-bet a flop of 874 and took it down. I then raised in LP to $12 behind a couple of limpers with KQo. The button called and so did one of the limpers. The flop came KJ9 and I bet out $16, the button raised to $56, I folded and he showed J9.

There were 5 limpers and I made it $16 from the SB with TT and everyone folded. Next hand, there were 5 limpers again and I made it $16 from the button with AKss and everyone folded. I was around $190 or so and I made it $12 from the hijack with ATo with limpers. The button called me and so did 2 of the limpers. The flop came K63 and it checked around. The turn came a T and it checked to me and I bet $16 and the button and the first limper called. The river came a 5 and the first limper checked, I checked, and the button bet $25. This bet really didn’t make a lot of sense to me. He would have raised with a K at some point (or bet the flop). I thought I had the best hand on the turn unless he flopped a set and there was no reason why this should change on the river. I called and he showed me 65 for a rivered 2 pair (a hand way off my radar.

I was down to $140 or so after this hand and rebought for $60 more, so I was in for $260. I raised with 44 in LP to $10 and one of the blinds called and I took it down with a c-bet. I raised in LP with KJhh to $12 and I got 3 callers. The flop came AhQx7h and I bet out $15 and took it down. I raised in MP with ATo with one limper in front and got called by the button and the limper. The flop came out JT8 and the limper bet $13 and I called and the button folded. The turn came a 2 and the limper bet out $30 and I folded. I was at around $210 after this hand.

I was in MP with one limper and found 77 and made it $11 and the limper was the only caller. The flop came J63 and he bet $6 and I called. The turn came a 7 and he checked and I bet $16 and he folded. I was up to $230 or so after this hand. I was UTG +1 and UTG limped and I found AQo and made it $11. The limper was the only caller and we checked down a board of T3447 and he bet $2 on the river and I called and my AQ was good. I left shortly after this hand with $238, down $22 on the session.

Overall, it was a short session and a losing one but I feel like I played very well, not making very many hands and picking up pots when I didn’t have them. After this, we headed over to the Stratosphere to play in the freeroll.
