One of my goals of the trip was make sure I played well in cash games. I feel like I got to a good start with this session. In fact, first hand I played I found 2 red tens. I raised to $10 and got called in 2 spots. The flop came t86 and I led out for $25. One guy min-raised and before I knew it, I pushed all in on the flop of my first hand. He ended up folding what he said was a 10 but it was still a good start.
I was at $250 and the following hand came up. A guy live straddled and everyone on the table except one person called so I limped my sb with 63cc. The flop came 963 2 spades and I checked, the bb bet $10, the straddle raised to $30, and, no lie, he got called in 4 different places. With all the draws out there, I figured I probably had the best hand and I could push to hopefully iso a shortstack who had a draw or possibly a 9 so I pushed my $250 its folded to the last 2 callers who both make the call. Luckily, they were both shortstacked (~$100 behind) because one idiot somehow showed up with 99 there and I was drawing dead and down to $150.
A little later, I found 55 and raised it to $10 and got 2 callers. The flop came k65 2 diamonds and I figured someone for at least a king or a draw of some sort so I led out for $25 and got called in both spots. The turn came the best card possible in the form of the 6 of diamonds and I led out for $50, got and immediately got raised all in by one of the callers and I fell out of my seat calling. He showed a6 and I dodged his 7 outer to double to about $330.
About an orbit later, I made another huge hand. I found KK utg and made it $10 and got 2 callers (again) the flop came k98. I led out for $15, the first guy called and then next guy raised to $40. I smooth called and so did the other guy. The turn came an 8, filling me up. I checked, the other guy checked, and the raiser moved in for about $140. I called and the other guy folded and my opponent showed 9s full for a sick cooler and I was up to about $560.
All of this happened in the first hour of playing and for the next 5 hours, next to nothing happened. In about the 3rd hour, I picked up KK and check called $100 on the river as an overpair to the board and it was good but that was the only pot where I put more than $40 or so in the pot. I was up to as far as $680 but I cashed out at $566 for a net winning of $366—a good start!

I think it would be fun to keep an excel spreadsheet of your donkaments winnings/losses and cash game stats as well. Maybe not publish the actual numbers but keep track of an hourly earnrate on cash and compare months, certain days of the week (weekends are better, obv), and whatnot. Just my 2 cents.
