Despite this tourneys excellent structure, I somehow dusted off my 10000 chips in almost less than 2 hours at the 200-400 25 level. It was a tournament with basically no notable hands. I was able hit the flop with ak and pick up kk and reraise a raiser and 4 callers preflop for some smallish pots early on to build my stack but then nothing went right for me.
There was some LAG jackass calling like every one of my raises from across the table and beating me out of every pot. I ended up calling hit down with AJ high on a qt5t5 board for him to show me 65o in a decent sized pot. A couple hands later I called his raise from the button with t8hh and tried to float his c-bet on the flop but that failed when he obviously hit the turn and check called me down.
After this hand we progressed to 200-400 25 and I had about 4500 or so. I was in the BB and there was one limper who loved to limp. SB folds and I look down at a4o and check my option the flop comes j88 and I check. He bets 1500 which he would do with about any hand, as he had been c-betting his limps a decent amount, and I push my ~4k in the middle thinking he will be able to fold a middle pair or a better ace. He immediately calls and show qj and I don’t suck out and am eliminated in about 22nd of 28 entries. Note to self: Don’t try to bluff ever.

Don't bluff in a 125 tourney... You made the right bet, what are the odds he has anything there if he leads out on a paired board? Unimaginative nits make plays like that the right one, but LAG or LP players can make it the wrong one equally as quickly...
