I started my session today at about 1130 and played until about 330 so it was another 4 hour session. Overall it was a pretty successful day, I made some big hands that really didn't get paid off that much but it was a winning day nevertheless.
First hand I played today I raised 77 to $8 UTG and got three calls from behind. The flop came 883, I c-bet $14 and everyone folded. I found AQhh in the SB, limped, and then called $10 when the BB raised. There was one other caller and I check folded a J76 flop. I raised one limper from MP with KJss to $8. The BB and the limper called and the flop came 993. It checked to me and I bet $12. The BB called and we checked to the river on Q4. He bet $16 on the river and I folded. I found that 77 in middle position and made it $8. I got called from the BB and from an early position limper. The flop came A84, I c-bet $14, and they both called. I shut it down and the turn/river came 810 and one guy showed AQ to win. After this I was down to $160.
I made it $8 UTG+1 with AJcc and got three calls. The flop came 875 and a guy bet $14, another guy called, and I folded. Every person limped to me on the button and I found 99. I made it $18 and everyone folded. I made it $8 with an EP limper with ATdd; the limper was the only caller and my c-bet on KQ5 was good to take it down.
I then flopped three huge hands in one orbit but was only able to win small pots from them. Grrrr. I limped 22 UTG and several other people limped behind. The flop came a beautiful a TT2 and I checked. Unfortunately, Everyone else decided to check it also. The turn came a 3, I bet $8 everyone folded. I found KJo with several limpers in front of me on the button and I limped behind. The flop came JJ9 2 clubs, everyone checked to me, I bet $10, and they all folded. I made it $8 UTG with QJcc and the BB called. The flop came a beautiful AKT rainbow and he check called my $12 bet. The turn came a Q and it went check-check. The river came a 9 and he bet $12, I made it $30, and he called. My straight was good and I was up to $230.
I raised to $8 in EP with 86ss. I got three callers and I folded on the turn on a board of JT4Q. I found 75 in the BB and checked my option. I turned the nuts on an A846 board, bet $8, and got one call. The river came a 2, I bet $12 and he folded.
I then played my only real big pot of the day. I checked my option with several limpers in the BB with JTdd the flop came 9d8d6x giving me an open ended straight flush draw and I let out for $8. One of the limpers made it $20 and I decided just to flat. The turn came an offsuit Q giving me the nuts. I checked, he bet $36, I made it $96, and he called. The river came the Ad giving me a flush and I bet out $60. He snap called but mucked when I showed saying he had JT also (and I believe him). After this I was up to $370.
A spewy younger player made it $8 UTG and I 3-bet to $20 with AKdd. He called and the flop came 763 2 diamonds giving me a flush draw. He check-called my $20 and the turn came 4d giving me the nut flush. He checked, I bet $32, and he folded. I was up to $430 dollars after this hand. I found J2ss in the BB with several limpers. The flop came A63 2 spades giving me a flush draw and I bet out $4. The SB was the only caller and the turn came a 2. We both checked and the river came a J giving me two pair. He bet $6, I raised to $18, and he folded showing A5. A guy made it $4 UTG and everyone called. I found AKo in the SB and just flatted. The flop came and K32 two hearts, I checked with the intention of check raising, but everyone checked behind. The turn came an offsuit 6, I bet $12, and everyone folded.
I then made my only bad play of the day. I made it $8 UTG with A9dd and the BB reraised to $18. I almost just folded here but the $18 was too cheap. The flop came QQ9 and he lead out for $12, I called. The turn came Jd giving me a flush draw with my pair. He checked to me and I decided to check behind. The river came a third Q and he checked. I decided to try to value bet my low full house so I bet $18 and he called showing to AA. I probably should have just checked but he played AA so weak I had no idea if he had that big of hand. I was down to $410 after this. I called $8 on the button with 88 and five other callers but folded to a bet on a 974 flop.
I checked my option in the BB with A4o. The flop came and AJ5, I bet $6 and got two callers. We checked around on a turn/river of K7 and I won the pot. I then picked up AKo two hands in a row. The first time, I was on the button with several limpers. I made it $12 and got two calls. We checked to the turn on Q854 board, one of the callers bet $16 and I folded. Next hand there was one limper to me in the cutoff and I made it $10. I got calls from the blinds and the limper and the flop came K76 2 clubs. It checked to me, I bet $24, and they all folded.
I lost a few more small pots to end the session. I limped behind many limpers with Q9ss and called $6 on the river on a board of T636Q. He had AQ and I was no good. I made it $10 in the hijack behind one limper with JTdd and the BB went all in for $62 and I folded. I had a K3 in the BB with three limpers. A flop came K44 and I check-called $8. The turn came a 7 and I check-called $10. The river came a 5 and it went check-check and he showed KQ. That is why I don't usually like to check-call. An EP raiser made $8, one other person called, and I called on the button with JTss. The small blind also called and we saw a flop of AK7. It checked to me and I decided to bluff $22 and everyone folded. I was in the BB with K5 and ended up calling $6 on the river on a board of A93A3. I was no good when he showed A3. Last hand I played I raised to $8 UTG+1 with 75dd. I got 4 calls and check folded an AKQ flop.
I soon after cashed out with $387, up $187 for the session. This marks the first real winning session that I had since I restarted my blog! Sadly, this will probably be my last session at Running Aces before I leave for Vegas. I really did enjoy that place and the perk of getting paid $5 in cash/hour of play is pretty unbelievable, but moving on to Vegas is greener pastures. I will be coming back tomorrow or Friday with my final totals for my time at Running Aces as well as several interesting hands I played there before I started blogging my sessions so make sure you check back soon!
