Quick Update

First of all, I would like to apologize AGAIN for not updating. I know I said I would be better about updating but I just havent had too much to post. I havent been playing any live at all since early October and I only ended up playing in 3 more Fall Poker Classic events after my last posts. I failed to make it through the first HOUR of any of these tournaments so I quit the series early due to being frustrated with the way I was playing. Becuase of this I did not play in the WSOPc in Chicago either. Additionally, my phone stopped working so I lost the hand histories I wrote down for those 3 other tournaments (although nothing tooooo exciting happened getting eliminated in the 1st level).

Looking back Im not too bothered at missing those events because after my horrible first 5 events I really just wasnt in the right mindset.

Lately I have been playing online in some smaller sitngos on Bodog (now Bovada). I originally abstained from playing on any of these smaller sites after Black Friday due to skepticism about my money but they seem to be relatively safe for now and even if I do lose the money currently on there due to regulations, I have already turned some profit offline so im on a freeroll for that money.

The turbos are the only sitngos that fill with any regularity so, while its not ideal, I am playing those. I am playing the $36 6 max turbos and they are significantly more swingy than playing the regular 9 mans I played on Pstars. Its a little frustrating as I was on a $2.2k downswing (~60 BIs) playing those and playing the $55 9 mans on pstars Id never had more than a $2k downswing (40 BIs) and that was with a much much much much larger sample size. I have dug out of that hole but pitfalls like that are to be expected while playing 6-max turbos.

My end goal is to make it to Vegas again this summer. I am working towards that goal by playing online. However, between my massive BF pstars cashout and my Golden Nugget final table this summer, I am going to have to pay an absolute boatload of money to the government for taxes this year. I have set aside quite a bit of my pstars cashout for savings and I havent really done any preliminary analysis for how much I will have to pay for taxes. I do not know how many extra funds I will have for Vegas after taxes so while I really want to go, Id say theres still a 10%-20% chance that I may not be able to go.

If I am able to get to Vegas this summer, my updates will continue as it is a fun way to track my tournaments and good for me to analyze my game. As of right now though, grinding online SNGs isnt really too exciting to report.
